In 2017, The Four had just wrapped up its second season and the league known as Newland FFL, run for students at Dallas Christian College, had finished its final season ever. The following spring, in 2018, Commissioner Shaffer proposed expanding The Four to six teams and renaming the league. The league voted in favor of expansion. Blayze Lingo was added to the league and then discussion was held to determine who the sixth member would be. Zac Shaffer mentioned Landry Wilkinson as the final member. Landry had just the season before played in his first league, Newland FFL. He did surprisingly well and impressed the members of the league. The league agreed and he joined the league as its sixth member.

Unfortunately for Landry, his first season started extremely poorly. Landry's Leroy Jenkins earned the number one overall pick in the redraft for the newly renamed THE SIX. With that first pick they took Le'Veon Bell, running back for Pittsburgh. The issue: Bell was in a contract dispute and intended to not play for the team and in fact, never played for the Steelers again. Meaning the first ever pick by Leroy Jenkins never played a single game for the team. Things turned around for them throughout the season, adding back up to Bell, James Conner who would be a leading force for the team. Another move that gave Leroy Jenkins a major upgrade was a 17th round pick on second year Quarterback Patrick Mahomes who would go on to win league MVP later that year. Leroy Jenkins finished their inaugural season with a 6-8 record and finished 4th in the standings. They would lose in the first round of the playoffs to top seeded The Blentz's and would also lose the consolation game to Bush Did 9/11.

The following season would be yet another promising year for Leroy Jenkins. The team kept league MVP Patrick Mahomes, up and coming tight end George Kittle, wide receiver Mike Evans and running back James Conner. In the draft the team once again got a quarterback steal in future Quarterback of the Year Lamar Jackson late in the draft. Mahomes and Jackson led Leroy Jenkins to a franchise best 9-5 record and the number 2 seed in the playoffs. Leroy Jenkins would face off against 3rd seed Dafakawe Tribe with a chance to make the championship. Leroy Jenkins put up a fight scoring 204 points, an extremely high score in the league but was out scored in rare fashion 216-204. Leroy Jenkins would go on to beat Team in the consolation game to finish in 3rd place.

In 2020, Leroy Jenkins brought back both of their top tier QBs but let tight end George Kittle walk, which was a surprise to many in the league. Leroy Jenkins owner Landry Wilkinson would end up missing the draft and this led to much frustration from league members. Leroy Jenkins started the season at an extreme disadvantage and things never got better for the team. They finished 4-10, a franchise worst and a tie for league worst. They missed the playoffs and at the end of the season the league announced that Landry Wilkinson would not return as owner of Leroy Jenkins due to his displeasure with a league rule change regarding increase in the yearly buy-in.

In 2021, Austin Buck was announced as the replacement owner of Leroy Jenkins, which he renamed THE MIGHTY BUCKS. Thus ending the time of Leroy Jenkins as a franchise in The Six FFL.
