In 2014, Blayze Lingo (originally from Oklahoma) and PJ Southard (originally from Houston) began attending a small Bible College named Dallas Christian College in the middle of a Dallas suburb called Farmer's Branch. Both intending on entering ministry but neither really connecting in their first year. In January of 2015, Zac Shaffer (originally from New Mexico) joined them at DCC and quickly became friends with both Blayze and PJ. Zac was also at DCC to pursue ministry. The following semester Avner Chavez (originally from Eagle Pass, TX), Landry Wilkinson and Jeremy Flores (both originally from Shreveport, LA) and Austin Buck (originally from Sulphur Springs, TX) began attending DCC as well. All of them would become increasingly close friends. Zac and Austin, as well as Jeremy and PJ would be roommates by the 2016 school year. And a smaller group of the friends would be closer than the rest. During a Spring Break trip to Arizona Avner, Jeremy, PJ and Zac all attended and grew in a deeper friendship and began calling themselves 'The Four'.

Zac Shaffer was an avid fantasy football player and in his first football season at DCC created 'Newland FFL' named after DCC's mens dorm the guys lived in. In 2016, the league was heading towards its second season, this time PJ would be joining them for the first time. Then Zac had an idea: a four team league with double the roster size and extremely high scoring. The guys he would invite were obvious: the other 3/4s of the four. The only downfall was that Avner had moved back to Eagle Pass and would not be attending until the 2017 spring semester. Even with that, the guys held an offline draft in Zac's dorm room with Avner on FaceTime and a whiteboard being used, a picture taken and erased and reused every 5 picks. It was a long process but it worked. The league also used Fox Sports as its platform for the 2016 season.

The draft order was: 1. Double On-Condras (Zac) 2. The Dab Daddys (PJ) 3. My Bush (Jeremy) 4. The Avner Will WIN!!!!!! (Avner). Four Wide Receivers were taken in the first round and Antonio Brown (WR - PIT) was taken first overall and was the first draft pick in THE FOUR. The final pick also belonged to the Double On-Condras, Eric Decker was drafted 120th overall. After all was said and done, the season began.

Year one was an interesting one for the league to say the least. Because each team was automatically in the playoffs at the end of the year the standings were of little importance to most. A season of highs and lows for each team with little dominance by any one team.

My Bush finished the season with the league’s top spot and a 9-5 record. My Bush also recorded the highest and lowest points in two individual games (205 and 78), My Bush recorded 3 games above 200 points and 2 games below 125.

In Second place the Avner Will WIN collected a 7-7 record with a very inconsistent path to the playoffs, bouncing between bad losses and blowout wins, there was nothing special about the 7-7 regular season.

In Third place heading into the post-season was the incredibly consistent Dab Daddys. A 7-7 finish with no games below 125 and no games above 200 points the Dab Daddys coasted into the playoffs.

In Last place was the Double On-Condras who were lucky that the regular season didn't matter because they finished with a league worst 5-9 record and started the season 0-6. Miraculously the Double On-Condras had only one game below 125 points and that came in a 106-78 win against My Bush.
With the seeding set the playoffs commenced.

In the first game 1 seed My Bush took on 4 seed Double On-Condras. The final score 154-142 in favor of My Bush.
Game 2 saw 2 seeded the Avner Will WIN vs. 3 seeded the Dab Daddys. In another high scoring game the Dab Daddys took the win 178-156.

The finals were set: the Dab Daddys would face My Bush as Avner Will WIN faced the Double On-Condras for third place.

The Double On-Condras surprised the Avner Will WIN with a very high scoring game where each team put up over 190 points. 203-191 was the final score.

In the final the Dab Daddys took the win from My Bush 186-172.
After the first season PJ’s Dab Daddys headed into 2017 as champions of THE FOUR.

At the start of the 2017 season, 3 of the 4 teams changed their name for the upcoming season. My Bush became Bush Did 9/11, the Avner Will WIN became The Blentz's and The Dab Daddys became Team. The League itself had to move locations from FOX Sports to Yahoo! due to FOX Sports discontinuing Fanasty Football. All four teams kept six players from the previous roster and drafted in reverse order of the final standings of the previous year.

2017's draft was hosted in a meeting room in an apartment complex in Farmer's Branch, TX with once again only Avner not attending live but over Skype. The Blentz's drafted first drafting Michael Thomas (WR - NO) number one overall (keepers affected the draft rankings for 2017). Once again in 2017 four wide receivers went in the first round. The final pick in the draft was Jack Doyle to The Blentz's

Once the season started, so did the drama. The Double On-Condras started the season, opposite of the season before: 6-0. The only team to do so in the two years of the league. But the hot start would end and a cold finish would begin. Despite the very hot start the Double On-Condras finished the season 0-8 and with a record of 6-8 they took to the playoffs and managed to just avoid the leagues lowest record for a second straight year.
Another hot second year performance was made by Bush Did 9/11 who finished once again with a 9-5 season. 18-10 in two years of play, Bush Did 9/11 clearly demanded respect and commanded the regular season.
Team did something that every team fears, going from FIRST to WORST. Team, in a year that should have been full of dominance suffered the leagues lowest record of the season 5-9.

The Blentz's finished the regular season with a second place 8-6 record and were as inconsistent as the year before.
The playoff seeds were set: Bush Did 9/11 as the one seed again, The Blentz's the two, Double On-Condras as the three and rounding it out Team was the four.

The first match-up featured a championship rematch of Team vs. Bush Did 9/11 the final score was Bush Did 9/11 175 - Team 144

The second match-up was The Blentz's vs. the Double On-Condras the final score was The Blentz's 219 - Double On-Condras 184.

The championship and third place matchups were set: The Blentz's facing Bush Did 9/11 and Team facing the Double On-Condras.

The Blentz's looking to go from worst to first faced Bush Did 9/11 who was looking to redeem themselves from the 2nd place finish the year prior. Team was looking to avoid a first to worst year and Double On-Condras was hoping to stay in third place for a second straight year. Team accomplished what they didn't want losing to the Double On-Condras 153-107.

The Blentz's did the opposite, they prevailed and accomplished the worst to first claim and won 164-142 forcing Bush Did 9/11 to stay championship-less one more year

In May of 2018 THE FOUR held their summer meetings addressing a number of issues. Votes were held regarding rule changes, roster sizes, scoring and expansion. THE FOUR voted in favor of adopting a new keeper rule, adapting the scoring and expanding by two members and changing the league name to THE SIX. Gavin Blayze Lingo and Landry Wilkinson were formally invited on May 11th, 2018 and agreed to join the league. THE FOUR became THE SIX. Blayze chose the team name of Dafakawe Tribe and Landry chose Leroy Jenkins as his team name.

Along with adding two teams, another change was made to, inessence, eliminate all remnants of THE FOUR. The Double On-Condras announced that they would be renaming their team. On May 31st the Double On-Condras officially changed their name to Jayhawks, taken from Zac’s favorite college team Kansas Jayhawks.

On August 5th, 2018 Four of the Six members met at Free Play in Richardson, TX for THE SIX Draft Lottery. The draft order was determined that Leroy Jenkins would draft number one overall in the first draft since joining the league. Dafakawe Tribe, the other expansion team was to draft third. The Blentz's would draft second with Jayhawks, Bush Did 9/11 and Team being 4, 5 and 6.

On September 2nd, 2018 THE SIX all met (on skype) to have communication during the draft online. Leroy Jenkins took Le'Veon Bell from Pittsburgh with their first draft pick. Five running backs were taken in the first round. 180 picks were made in an hour and five minutes. The final pick of the draft was Ka'imi Fairbairn, Kicker from Houston by Leroy Jenkins.

Year three was destined to be a great one, all eyes were on the league to see how new expansion teams would fare in a league of champions.

Before the year even started, Bush Did 9/11 and Jayhawks announced an official rivalry named The Bush Hawk Rivalry. This would be the first rivalry made in the league, in the two years prior the teams had split the series and were looking to make 2018 exciting.

The opening matchups got to hot starts with Bush Did 9/11 stomping Jayhawks in their first of three matchups, Leroy Jenkins starting their season with their first ever win in the league in a win over Team, and The Blentz’s beating Dafakawe Tribe in a low scoring matchup. Leroy Jenkins set an early franchise record of 222 points in the first week of the league.

Following week one a bit of drama would spark between The Blentz’s and Jayhawks. Both teams agreed to a trade involving three players that would have sent Alshon Jeffrey to the Jayhawks despite being injured. But due to The Blentz’s having too many players on the roster, the trade fell through and The Blentz’s opted not to process the trade. The Jayhawks would not receive Jeffrey and would continue on the season without the trade happening.
Over the next six weeks The Blentz’s would continue to win, breaking a record set the year prior, winning 7 straight games. Until Jayhawks got revenge for their week one trade mishap. Jayhawks would end The Blentz’s winning streak and would go on to beat them a second time.

Things heated up in the final stretches of the season. Bush Did 9/11 shattered their own record for points in a game in week 10 and then followed that up the following week by beating that record a second time. In week Dafakawe Tribe set a franchise record by scoring 222 points and topped 200 for the first time. Both expansion teams scored exactly 222 in their first 200+ performances (Leroy Jenkins would score 218 in week 8).

Two days before the start of the Playoffs members of the league (except Blayze and Jeremy) gathered to celebrate the union of PJ and Rachel Southard in Dallas on December 4, 2018.

Come week 14, the playoffs were already set. The Blentz’s with a league record 11-3 season would play 6-8 Leroy Jenkins. Bush Did 9/11 with a team record 10-4 record would play 7-7 Team. Jayhawks and Dafakawe Tribe both finished with league record lows of 4-10 records and missed the Playoffs.

Week 1 of the playoffs featured the lowest high score of any year prior to it. The Blentz’s scored 149 which in the last two years’ semifinals would’ve beaten only one team per year. But that was enough to lift one seed The Blentz’s over four seed Leroy Jenkins 149-122 sending The Blentz’s to a second straight championship game. In the other matchup, two seed Bush Did 9/11 set a playoff record for lowest score in a game (only 5 weeks removed from two record breaking scores). Bush Did 9/11 fell to Team 143-83. Team would face off with The Blentz’s in the championship and that would mean in 2018, there would be no new champion in the league.

Jayhawks faced Dafakawe Tribe for 5th place, Bush Did 9/11 faced Leroy Jenkins for 3rd place. Team faced The Blentz’s for the title match.
Jayhawks would beat Dafakawe Tribe 191-157.

Bush Did 9/11 would beat Leroy Jenkins 179-117.

Finally the championship game: two previous champions fighting for a chance at a second title. The Blentz’s after a dominating season looked to win back to back championships and Team after a second 7-7 season in three years, looked to coast through the playoffs once again.

Well, 7 is a lucky number and Team had two of them in their record.
Team beat The Blentz’s 173-159 securing a second championship in three years.

The 2019 Preseason consisted of the planning for the 2019 draft, the creation of THE SIX’s sister league THE DCAL, the birth of Commissioner Shaffer’s daughter Avery in June and the announcement of the Shaffer’s move to Indiana from Dallas.

August 16th, 2019 all keepers were announced and September 1st, 2019 would be the date set for the 2019 draft. The draft order for the league would be in reverse order of the final standings from 2018.
Dafakawe Tribe drafted first overall and selected Davante Adams in the 2019 draft. Adams was the only WR taken in the first round, 5 RBs were taken the next 5 picks. The final pick of the draft was in round 25 and Team selected Donte Moncrief, WR.

The 2019 season started with a rematch of the 2018 championship game: The Blentz’s vs Team. It also featured Jayhawks vs Leroy Jenkins, and Bush Did 9/11 vs Dafakawe Tribe. Team won the rematch of the championship, keeping their winning streak alive from the previous season. Dafakawe Tribe beat Bush Did 9/11 and Jayhawks won their first season opener since 2017 and gained their first victory over Leroy Jenkins.
The season was off to a strong start but The Blentz’s were not. After just 3 weeks the Blentz’s were 1-2 and that would be the best their winning percentage would be the entire season. Fresh off a record setting 11-3 season, The Blentz’s would march on to a record tying 4-10 record. Bush Did 9/11 suffered a similar fate. After finishing 2018 10-4, they would miss the playoffs with a 6-8 record, a franchise worst. They would miss the playoffs just barely after being unable to beat two other teams out in scoring. Bush Did 9/11 had the leagues second lowest season score of 1999 points. Team and Dafakawe Tribe would also have 6-8 records. Team, wildly underperformed after being projected to go 12-2 by Yahoo. They managed to sneak into the playoffs during week 14’s monday night game between New York and Philadelphia. Thanks to one fourth quarter TD connection from starting QB Carson Wentz and starting TE Zach Ertz that sent the game into OT and then thanks again to an OT TD connection between the same two players, Team managed to edge The Blentz’s 159-156 to knock Bush Did 9/11 out of the playoffs in dramatic fashion. Dafakawe Tribe didn’t as much stress as Team did, but they handed Bush Did 9/11 the knock down loss in week 14. Dafakawe Tribe was 5-8 and Bush Did 9/11 was 6-7 heading into week 14. Unfortunately for Bush Did 9/11, the team underperformed and lost 155-137. Leroy Jenkins had themselves a handsome season. Going 9-5, a franchise record in just their second year in the league. They were the second team to clinch a playoff spot and were second in the league in least points against. Leroy Jenkins, despite starting the first 9 weeks with a 7-2 record accompanied by a very impressive 5 game win streak, they finished the season with a 2-3 record heading into the playoffs. Jayhawks were the real surprise heading into 2019. In 2018, they went 4-10 setting a league record for worst record. In 2019 they started strong. Through the first 9 weeks the Jayhawks were 6-3 and in second place behind Leroy Jenkins. They wouldn’t lose another game before the playoffs. They went on a 5 game winning streak and scored 170+ in all 5 games with two games out scoring their opponent by 90+ points. This would give them several records at the end of the season. The Jayhawks broke the record for most points in a season, least points against in a season and set a franchise record for wins in a season. They earned the top seed in the playoffs and were ready for more.
The Playoffs were set. Defending champs Team vs top seeded Jayhawks and Leroy Jenkins vs Dafakawe Tribe in the battle of the 2018 expansion teams. In the first round of the playoffs 3 of the 4 playoff teams scored 200+ points for the first time ever. Team, the defending champs were the only team to not score 200 points. They were knocked out of the playoffs 221-167 by Jayhawks who would advance to their first ever title game. Dafakawe Tribe and Leroy Jenkins kept the game close with Dafakawe Tribe advancing 216-204.
During Championship week the consolation game between Team and Leroy Jenkins was tanked by Team in effort to earn the higher draft pick the following season. By starting injured Matthew Stafford and Free Agent Colin Kaepernick, Team insured their own loss. Team was not punished for tanking due to their being no rule against it in the bylaws.
In the championship however, you would think the game was thrown. Dafakawe Tribe hardly put up a fight. Starting two QBs on Monday Night, Aaron Rodgers and Kirk Cousins hardly scored and killed Dafakawe Tribe’s hopes of a Monday Night comeback win. Jayhawks won their first ever championship in blow out fashion 204-151 and celebrated thoroughly.

The 2020 offseason was filled with drama due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic. This caused several players to drop out of the 2020 NFL season prior to the season’s start.
The league made changes to adapt to the COVID-19 virus. Injured reserve spots were added to each team, a “minimum week” was set to help determine a champion should the league be canceled due to the virus. Once the changes were made, the keepers were ready to be announced.
On August 16th, 2020 keepers were announced, like the previous year, 4 players were kept by all 6 teams. It was announced that September 6th would be the date for the 2020 draft. The draft was in reverse order of the 2019 standings. The Blentz’s drafted first overall and took Joe Mixon. 4 running backs were taken in the first round and 2 tight ends were also taken. The 25th round (First four rounds were technically keeper rounds) ended with Jayhawks selecting Gardner Minshew II from Jacksonville. With that, the 2020 season and 5th season of The Six FFL was set to start on September 10th.

Week one was here and the league was ecstatic. All eyes were focused on reigning champions Jayhawks facing runner up Dafakawe Tribe in a rematch of the 2019 championship. In memorable fashion Dafakawe Tribe blew out Jayhawks and started their season hot. Jayhawks and Leroy Jenkins both struggled early on in the season, which was a shock. Jayhawks entire roster was hit or miss for most of the season. First round pick Kenyan Drake and Second round pick Kenny Golladay were either hurt or underperforming. Keeper Saquon Barkley tore his ACL week 2 and Keeper Michael Thomas rarely played after week 1. Jayhawks were 3-4 at the halfway point of the season. Leroy Jenkins lack of draft attendance hurt them in the long run as they continued to have players underperform or perform ridiculously average. The surprise of the early part of the season was Team’s extremely hot start jumping out to a franchise record in wins and a league record winning streak going 9-0 in the first nine weeks of the season. Bush Did 9/11 got back to their winning ways in 2020 going 4-3 in the first half of the season which was much improved from the year prior. Dafakawe Tribe struggled despite the week 1 victory, going just 3-4 through 7 weeks. The Blentz’s also recovered from the previous season’s losing ways and were 3-4 at week 7 with just one win less than the 2019 total.
The second half of the season saw: Team drop 3 of their last 5 games, Jayhawks win 4 of their last 5 and make the playoffs, The Blentz’s would miss the playoffs after going 3-3 in their final 6 games and losing the last 3, Dafakawe Tribe won 3 of their last 5 games, Bush Did 9/11 went 4-3 in their last half of the season and lost their second straight Bush Hawk series and finally Leroy Jenkins 5 of their last 7 games and made the announcement owner Landry Wilkinson would be leaving the league in 2021.
For the playoffs Team faced off against Dafakawe Tribe and Jayhawks faced Bush Did 9/11. Jayhawks were on a roll and were widely considered to be the favorite to win it all. Unfortunately for them Josh Allen, former Jayhawk David Montgomery and Calvin Ridley had incredible games and scored 20+ each in the 200-176 victory for Bush Did 9/11. Team went on to defeat Dafakawe Tribe thanks to the help of Deshaun Watson and Aaron Jones. Team won 184-152.
Jayhawks would go on to take on Dafakawe Tribe in the 3rd place consolation game. Jayhawks put up a fight but ultimately lost 175-160 at the hands of Tom Brady and Brandin Cooks who both scored 20+.
Team took on Bush Did 9/11 in the championship. Team had faced them in 2016 and it was each franchise’s 3rd championship appearance. Team had won their previous two appearances and Bush Did 9/11 had lost theirs. Team was led by Alvin Kamara who would go on to win Playoff MVP due to his 6 touchdowns scored against the Minnesota Vikings on Christmas Day that scored 52 points alone. The rest of Team would go off as well, Mitch Trubisky, Deshaun Watson, Stefon Diggs and David Johnson all had 20+ points in the 241-161 demolition of Bush Did 9/11 to win their 3rd title in five years.
Following the season the league introduced Austin Buck as the replacement owner for Leroy Jenkins. Buck would change the team name to The Mighty Bucks. The league also voted on a number of rule changes including getting rid of 1 starting TE, Kicker and Defense and making the league a PPR league from the 2021 season on.

The league voted in March to move up the keeper deadline by a week and draft together in Oklahoma City on August 20th. Because of it being a live draft many teams began considering draft pick trading. Every team moved to keep 4 players as usual but a unique move happened when Team traded their first round pick for The Blentz’s Wide Receiver Keenan Allen giving them essentially 5 keepers and only 3 for The Blentz’s.
This move received scrutiny from the league because The Blentz’s intended to use the 6th overall pick on Davante Adams, who was kept by Jayhawks. Unaware of this, The Blentz’s made the move and regretted it soon after.
During the predraft process 5 total trades happened involving draft picks, which would tie the amount of trades from the previous season as a whole.

For the first time since 2017 the league moved to meet up for the draft and
they met in Oklahoma City over August 20th. Due to illness
Jeremy Flores, owner of Bush Did 9/11, was not in attendance and
facetimed in. This was frustrating for other owners who made the
trip. Regardless, the draft went on. The number one overall pick in the
draft belonged to The Mighty Bucks and their owner, Austin Buck who took
Ezekiel Elliott, Running Back from Dallas as the pick.

The Blentz’s got to make their historic 2 first round draft picks and took Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver from Atlanta and Darren Waller, Tight End from Las Vegas as their first round picks.

The 2021 season kicked off following the draft and PJ Southard, owner of Team started making trade offers right away. Much to the annoyance of the league, but would manage to get one locked down with Bush Did 9/11 before the official kick off of week 1.
Reigning Champs Team started the 2021 season with an 0-2 record but would manage to work their magic and build back up to finish with a 7-7 record that was not without drama. One victory came against Jayhawks on a Monday night after Jayhawks picked up, then cut Michael Pittman Jr. on Sunday allowing Team to add him as a free agent. Pittman scored a touchdown on Sunday Night despite the weather and Jayhawks fell late on Monday after Alvin Kamara’s amazing night.
Jayhawks had seemingly everything working in the first five weeks going 5-0 and having some incredible Monday Night wins including a Monday Night comeback victory over The Mighty Bucks thanks to Quarterback Lamar Jackson. Things would crash from there as they’d only win 3 of their next 9 games, but they would manage to hold on to a winning record for the 2nd time in 3 years.
One other team managed to hold a winning record and that was Dafakawe Tribe who seemingly coasted to a 10-4 record. It wasn’t until Week 13 that they took over the number one spot in the standings but they dominated throughout the season despite losing keeper Christian McCaffrey twice. During their season Dafakawe Tribe traded Running Back Jonathan Taylor for former member Davante Adams.
2020’s runner up would not find very much success in the 2021 season. From the beginning Bush Did 911 was looked at as the bottom of the league and they did nothing to change that. Despite offers from around the league for trades, they only accepted two. Neither of which would benefit them. Gaining Saquon Barkley, George Kittle and Chase Edmonds. All of which dealt with injury throughout the season. Bush Did 9/11 would finish 4-10, a tie for lowest in league history and an all time low in team history.
The Blentz’s came into the season projected to go a measly 1-13 and thanks to the combination of Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford The Blentz’s would go 6-8. Not a fantastic finish but well above projections for them. Cooper Kupp would go on to earn First Team All Pro and Most Valuable Player of the 2021 season. The 6-8 record would not be enough for The Blentz’s to move into the playoffs and their playoff drought would extend to a 3rd season. The longest in league history.
Newcomer The Mighty Bucks would edge out The Blentz’s as a playoff team. The Mighty Bucks started the season in poor fashion but turned their program around by sticking to their guns and letting the players do the work. The Mighty Bucks would go from 2-5 in the first half of the season and turn it completely around and go 7-7 and earn the 3rd seed in the playoffs.
Once the playoffs came things were looking good for Dafakawe Tribe as the consensus favorite to win the championship. However they would fall short against Team who would be making it to their 4th championship in 6 seasons. In the other semi-final game, Jayhawks would look good early but by Sunday would lose their lead and never get it back. The Mighty Bucks knocked off the 2 seed and made their first championship ever in their first season ever.
In the championship game Team had most of its players play early in the matchup Sunday and only had one player, 2020’s playoff MVP Alvin Kamara, to play on Monday. The Mighty Bucks had an initial boost in the afternoon games thanks to Dionte Johnson and Najee Harris getting some work in garbage time against the Chiefs but Patrick Mahomes was the real hero of the afternoon game giving The Mighty Bucks 28 points. In the Sunday Night game The Mighty Bucks had 5 players in the game between Dallas and Washington. Ezekiel Elliott and Antonio Gibson each scored touchdowns but it was Dallas’ Defense and Special Teams that stole the show scoring a grand total of 30 points. In the Monday Night game, Alvin Kamara needed a mere 17 points to take the lead but Miami’s defense held strong and Kamara only scored 7 giving The Mighty Bucks their first ever championship in their first ever season.

The league capped off the season by holding its annual winter meetings. In the winter meetings 15 rules were proposed by various entities within the league. Some rule changes included moving to commissioner approval with trades, a response deadline for all trades, increase in the value of defensive forced turnovers and elimination of tackle for loss points that swayed games in 2021. The league also addressed the tie breaker rule for playoff games and voted to make it total touchdowns in the game wins. Teams would also be allowed to add injured reserve or players designated out directly to their injured reserve. The league also converted to just one rivalry week over Thanksgiving weekend.
The league also voted to introduce a “tank game” during week 16 between the 5 and 6 place teams called “The Kick Off” where only kickers are allowed to start. The league does not keep record of the games in record books.

In 2022 the keeper date would remain the original August 16th date. In the pre-keeper process Bush Did 9/11 and Dafakawe Tribe agreed to a trade that included two future keepers. Bush Did 9/11 received Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson and a late round pick for Running Back Dalvin Cook and a second round pick.
Only one other pre-draft trade happened between Jayhawks and Team who swapped 3rd and 4th round picks. During the pre-season Zac Shaffer and Jeremy Flores created The Six Fantasy Football Podcast that ran 9 pre-season episodes leading up to the draft. Due to time constraints and some issues technologically they put the podcast on hiatus for the rest of the season to relaunch at the conclusion. During the early stages of the pre-season Bush Did 9/11 owner Jeremy Flores announced that the team would be undergoing a full rebrand. When keeper announcements came, the 6 franchise owners held a group facetime call to announce their keepers in reverse order of standings. The following day, the keepers were announced to the public.

Like the previous season, a live, in person draft was held. This time in Dallas, TX. The founding place of the league. All franchise owners arrived in Dallas on Thursday, August 25th. They met at Buffalo Wild Wings and went to Top Golf afterward. The next day the members prepared for the draft.
Bush Did 9/11 held the number one overall pick in the draft and selected WR Deebo Samuel from San Francisco. Each team was allowed 5 minutes per pick, a new addition from the year prior. Another addition was Jeremy Flores of Bush Did 9/11 had to wear a pink sash that read “I suck at fantasy football” and sit with a giant flag that signified him as last place. This would be a staple moving forward.
Following the draft the franchise owners went to Arlington to watch the Texas Rangers play the Detroit Tigers.

Once the draft was concluded, the teams were ready for the 2022 season. Yahoo, the league’s host, projected that The Blentz’s would finish the season in first place while Team was projected to finish last.
The season kicked off with a rematch of The Mighty Bucks and Team, the previous season’s championship match up. The Mighty Bucks would coast to a win in the first week of the season. Bush Did 9/11 would get back to their winning ways early and beat Jayhawks to start the Bush Hawk Rivalry 1-0. Dafakawe Tribe would face and beat the projected favorite, The Blentz’s in week one.
Week 4 on their way to a 4-0 record on the season, Bush Did 9/11 would become the first team to cross the 50 all time wins threshold. They did so in dominating fashion against Team 183-139.
At the mid way point of the season, Bush Did 9/11 would be the surprise #1 team. They would lead the standings with a 5-2 record and more points than 5-2 Dafakawe Tribe. The Mighty Bucks and Jayhawks were in 3rd and 4th respectively with 4-3 records. While Team would be 1-6 and The Blentz’s sitting at 2-5.
The rest of the season would not be without drama as Dafakawe Tribe and Jayhawks in a week 9 match up would be the first ever franchises to tie in a regular season game. Jayhawks held a Monday Night lead that Dafakawe Tribe would chip away at until they ultimately tied. This tie would hurt The Mighty Bucks’ chances to pass them both in the standings later in the season.
After week 10 Bush Did 9/11 would be the first team to clinch their spot in the playoffs. They held an 8-2 record after 10 weeks but had not yet locked up their spot as the number one seed.
Dafakawe Tribe would be on the end of another historical game in Week 11 as they would take down The Blentz’s 203-168 to give The Blentz’s their 50th loss all time. The Blentz’s became the first team to reach 50 losses all time.
Team, dealing with an abysmal record through the season, would focus their objectives on the 2023 season. Trading players Josh Jacobs, Keenan Allen and Alvin Kamara (who had been on the team since 2017, his rookie season) for picks in the 2023 draft. They would be set up with 2 first round picks, 3 second round picks and 2 fifth round picks. The first team ever to stock pile picks in this manner. Being they were the last place team, they also had their eyes set on the number one overall pick.
The players traded to Dafakawe Tribe, Keenan Allen and Alvin Kamara, would struggle on their new team. Allen suffered injuries and rarely played while Kamara would hit a long stretch of way below average performances.
Jacobs, traded to Bush Did 9/11, on the other hand would find success following his trade. He would continue his impressive season after his trade and he found success for the first place Bush Did 9/11. Despite this success, Bush Did 9/11 unexplainably benched Jacobs in a Week 12 game against Jayhawks to sweep the Bush Hawk for the first time since 2018. Bush Did 9/11 would lose this game while Jacobs put an astounding 47 points up on the bench of Bush Did 9/11.
Following week 11 wins both Dafakawe Tribe and Jayhawks locked up their spots in the playoffs thanks to their 6-4-1 records. Neither team could “out lose” the other teams in the league to lose their spots. By week 12 there was just 1 spot left in the playoffs. With The Mighty Bucks sitting at 6-5 and facing Dafakawe Tribe in week 12, all eyes were on them. Team and The Blentz’s faced off in week 12, both with playoff chances still alive, one team was more focused on losing than winning. Team was nearly 200 points out behind the 4th place team, even if they could catch them in wins they would need to outscore them by 200 over the 3 weeks leading up to the playoffs to have a chance. So, Team owner PJ Southard was rooting for a loss. Unfortunately for him, Team managed to beat The Blentz’s who had been plagued with injuries, to knock The Blentz’s out of playoff contention and keep Team in the running. Another unfortunate moment was The Mighty Bucks needing one win to clinch their spot, losing to Dafakawe Tribe by just 15 points.
Heading into week 13 there was still one playoff spot left and two teams fighting for that spot. Although, one was fighting more than another. The Mighty Bucks would need to beat Team in order to secure the final playoff spot. Team did not put up much of a fight and The Mighty Bucks secured their spot in the 2022 playoffs. Team would be out of the playoffs for the first time in league history.
In week 14, even though all the playoff spots were taken, there was still drama. Bush Did 9/11 faced Dafakawe Tribe in a game that would decide the 1 seed. The Mighty Bucks and Jayhawks would face off to decide the 3 seed. And Team and The Blentz’s would play to decide the 6 or tie for 5th and lock up a Kick Off tie breaker. Jayhawks had a week full of struggles, including an injury to Tee Higgins that happened in pre-game and was not disclosed. They would fall by just 6 points and fall to the 4 seed and give The Mighty Bucks the 3 seed. Bush Did 9/11 would beat Dafakawe Tribe by 10 to clinch the 1 seed. The real drama came mid way through the early Sunday games as Team would hit waivers to add low end Denver Broncos players to tank the game and clinch a tie breaking Kick Off. This was widely annoying to the rest of the league who saw it as a move that lacked integrity. Team would still sweat out their plan to lose as Denver players Russell Wilson, Jerry Jeudy and Marlon Mack would exceed projections by a lot. Team would still wind up losing by 18 points. The move then sent the league members into plans to prevent future tank attempts.
After the dust settled the playoffs were set. 1 Seed Bush Did 9/11 would face rival 4 Seed Jayhawks and 2 Seed Dafakawe Tribe would take on reigning champions, the 3 Seed The Mighty Bucks. In the first match up to wrap up Dafakawe Tribe would fall well short of projections, scoring just 178 points while leaving game changers like Jerrick McKinnon and Chris Godwin on the bench. Both players would’ve set Dafakawe Tribe up for success. Instead they fell to reigning champions The Mighty Bucks 208-178. But that would not be the biggest upset of the week as Jayhawks would fall behind on Saturday but bounce back late Sunday. They would be up 38 points heading into Sunday Night Football. Saquon Barkley would put up 22 points against his former team to give them a 16 point cushion heading into Monday. Bush Did 9/11 knew they needed 17 points from the Packers defense. They scored 14 by the 9 minute mark of the 4th quarter but Aaron Rodgers would run the clock out on the Rams and on Bush Did 9/11’s championship hopes.
Jayhawks and The Mighty Bucks would face off to be just the second team with more than one title. The Mighty Bucks seeking their second in a row after joining the league in 2021 and Jayhawks seeking their second in their second championship game since 2019.
The Mighty Bucks would jump to an early lead on Thursday Night of Week 16 but that would not last. Their early lead consisted of underperforming Trevor Lawrence, Zay Jones and Garrett Wilson while Jayhawks’ only player, Travis Etienne Jr, hit projections. Jayhawks would take over on Saturday and storm off into a dominating lead after Tee Higgins, Ceedee Lamb and Gardner Minshew all exceeded projections while The Mighty Bucks players couldn’t match the fire power of the Jayhawks. Jayhawks held a dominating lead heading into Sunday where they just had Jaylen Waddle playing and he put up big numbers as well. The Mighty Bucks last remaining hope gave them no hope at all as Mike Evans would not even get close to projections. Jayhawks had the lead, a win in the bag and still had Austin Ekeler playing on Monday Night. He went off as well. The Jayhawks dominated on their way to a second title. 216-157 was the final score. This would conclude the 2022 season.
